What happens during a Hair Investigation™?
You start by sharing your hair history, daily patterns, and concerns. From there we use non-invasive digital scalp imaging (ScalpIQ™) and, when appropriate, at-home sample analysis (Cell Decode™) to gather objective evidence. Dr. Leola reviews the findings and prepares a personalized Hair Rescue File™ with a clear next-step roadmap.
Is this a medical diagnosis?
No. We provide non-medical investigative trichology assessments. Trichologist Dr. Leola Anifowoshe may identify patterns that appear consistent with common hair loss concerns, but these are investigative observations—not medical diagnoses. We complement the care of your licensed healthcare providers when medical evaluation is appropriate.
How long does the investigation take?
The online Hair Investigation™ takes about nine minutes. Your private report and recommendations follow within a few business days. In-person consultations are scheduled at our Houston center.
What will I receive at the end?
A Hair Rescue File™ that summarizes your findings, the patterns we observed, and a prioritized, personalized set of next steps. Nothing generic, nothing copied from another case.

I'm Trichologist Dr. Leola Anifowoshe, PhD — and I founded Texas Hair Restoration & Wellness Center, home of The Hair Loss Detective™. I've spent my career studying hair and scalp in five countries, writing two books about it, teaching it, and building the technology our team uses every day.
